..and most people do not fully understand how to properly read this section of any product label. Every active ingredient in a sports supplement product has an effective dose. If you look on the supplement facts panel and you cannot decipher exactly how much of each ingredient is in each serving that should be an automatic red flag. Any product that contains the proper dose of each ingredient would proudly list the total amount. A company that does not use effective doses would bundle up their ingredients into a "blend" or "matrix" so you cannot see exactly how much of each ingredient is used, just the total amount in the blend. So if you have a blend of 5 different ingredients and the total weight of the blend is 5,000 mg how can you tell the amount of each of those 5 ingredients? Simple answer, you can't. Companies that offer under dosed products do not want you to know when they are using ineffective amounts of expensive ingredients.
Why do companies do this? Again a simple answer, cost. Some of the ingredients in certain products are very expensive and when you are using effective doses it increases their cost to manufacture that product which in turn decreases their profit margin. These companies that use blended ingredients with ineffective doses are more concerned about their deep pockets than the quality of the products they are selling to their customers.
